National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre (NCCTRC)

The National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre (NCCTRC) is funded by the Australian Government and was established following the 2002 Bali bombings. It is internationally recognised as a world leader in the deployment of Australian Medical Assistance Teams (AUSMAT) and achieved WHO verification of the AUSMAT as an EMT Type 2 in October 2016.


National Disaster Life Support Foundation (NDLSF)

The National Disaster Life Support Foundation is a 501(c)3 Not-For-Profit Foundation dedicated to the establishment and propagation of standardized, all-hazards, multi-disciplinary, and competency-based training programs for first responders in mass casualty situations. There are three courses – Core, Basic, and Advanced Disaster Life Support.

The courses are periodically revised to maintain currency. A network of affiliated training centers with 88 domestic and 18 International conduct these courses. More than 150,000 individuals have been trained.

The National Library of Medicine® provides FREE access to health resources on disasters and emergencies.  These include WISER®, (tool for hazmat incidents), Radiation Emergency Medical Management (REMM), Chemical Hazards Emergency Medical Management (CHEMM), disaster literature from PubMed®/MEDLINE®, and the Resource Guide for Disaster Medicine and Public Health.

Philadelphia University – MS in Disaster Medicine and Management

Philadelphia University’s MS in Disaster Medicine and Management program prepares students to manage and develop the increasingly complex disaster management and preparedness requirements of the 21st century.

The 36-credit, 12-course curriculum can be completed in one to three years, depending on a student’s course load. Coursework is available in the fall, spring and summer terms. Eight courses are required with four electives that you choose from among the course offerings.
