Benjamin Ryan

Ben is a Clinical Associate Professor at Baylor University in Texas, United States, and President-elect for the Association of Environmental Health Academic Programs. He has experience working, researching, and teaching environmental health, communicable and non-communicable diseases, community resilience, and disaster risk reduction. Ben has led activities in these fields across the Indo-Pacific, Europe, and North America.

He has also worked at all levels of government in Australia and federally in the United States. His field experience includes environmental health assessments in urban and rural settings, facilitating the delivery of health services to asylum seekers, and responding to disasters and disease outbreaks. Ben has also published numerous peer-reviewed articles, guidelines, book chapters and conducted media interviews relating to disaster management and environmental health science.
