Dr. Khan is currently the Director-General of the Global Center for Mass Gatherings Medicine (GCMGM), Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia, a WHO Collaborative Center. In addition, he is a Faculty and Attending of Emergency and Disaster Medicine at King Saud University (KSU). He earned his MBBS from the College of Medicine and his Master of Health Administration (MHA) from the College of Business, at KSU. He got his residency training in Emergency Medicine in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and became Saudi and Arab Boards certified. After that, he went to pursue his fellowship in Disaster Medicine at Harvard and became an active member of the Harvard Arab Alumni (HAA), and Saudi Harvard Alumni Club. Moreover, He got certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
Dr. Khan participated in many national committees. He has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals and wrote chapters in text-books. In addition, he lectured at many international conferences and universities in Saudi Arabia and the United States. Lastly, he is the Track Supervisor for Disaster Management in the MPH at KSU.
