Ryan Leone

2LT Ryan Leone, MSc, is a fourth-year medical student at Columbia University, a US Army officer, and a Visiting Scholar at the National Center for Disaster Medicine and Public Health. He is also a Subject Matter Expert with the Healthcare and Public Health Preparedness Sector Coordinating Council, a member of the Task Force for Mass Critical Care, and a member of the Truman National Security Project Defense Council.

Previously, he worked on healthcare policy and operations issues at the Defense Health Agency and Department of State as a Presidential Management Fellow. He has also worked for In-Q-Tel, the US Forest Service, NYC Health + Hospitals’ Emergency Management Office, the former Surgeon General of the British military, and the US Army Institute of Surgical Research. Ryan earned an MSc at King’s College London as a Thouron Scholar and a BA and BS from the University of Pennsylvania’s Life Sciences and Management Program.
