Anas Khan

Prof. Anas Khan is the Director-General, Global Centre for Mass Gatherings Medicine, a WHO Collaborative Center housed within Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health. Prof. Khan is a Professor in Emergency Medicine at the College of Medicine, and an attending physician at the University Medical City at King Saud University in Riyadh. He was the Chairman of Emergency Department (clinical and academic), and founded the KSU Subspecialty Fellowship in EMS & Disaster Medicine. He is a renowned researcher with more than 120 peer-reviewed publications and a distinguished speaker on many national and international platforms.

Prof. Khan is the founding Chair of the WADEM MENA Chapter. He is board-certified (Saudi/Arab Boards) in Emergency Medicine and completed the BIDMC Disaster Medicine Fellowship. Prof. Khan holds a Master in Healthcare Administration (College of Business) and an MBBS (College of Medicine) both from King Saud University, in addition to a Fellowship in Sports and Exercise Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He also received a Diploma in Strategy and Innovation from Oxford Business School, and an Executive Preparedness Leadership from Harvard Kennedy School, alongside many certifications in leadership, policy, and quality. He is a recipient of King Abdul-Aziz Medal of Honor of the 3rd Degree.
