Sam Stratton is a professor in the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and recently retired as a professor in the UCLA Geffen School of Medicine. Dr. Stratton is US Board certified in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine, as well as subspecialty Board Certified in Emergency Medical Services. He is a Senior Program Analyst for the Emergency Medical Services Agency of Orange County California (US). He is also the medical director for the Redondo Beach California (US) Fire EMS program.
Dr. Stratton is a senior reviewer for Annals of Emergency Medicine, on the Editorial Board of the Western Journal of Emergency Medicine, and Editor-in-Chief for Prehospital and Disaster Medicine. He is also a regular contributor to the British Medical Journal, Critical Care Monographs. In 2013, he was awarded the WADEM Global Leadership in Emergency Public Health Award; and in 2015, the Peter Safar Award for Services to Prehospital and Disaster Medicine.
