Photo of George TataruGeorge Lucian Tataru is an international crisis management specialist and the Founder of Counter-Terrorism Medicine Europe (CTM-E), a collaborative research and advisory network operating across 19 countries. With a background of 10 years of working in trauma and as an incident commander for the NHS in the United Kingdom, he is dedicated to advancing the specialized field of Counter-Terrorism Medicine (CTM), working at the intersection of public health, defense, and emergency response, including optimizing civil-military coordination and frontline safety during complex mass-casualty incidents.

Championing pan-European security and complex emergency preparedness, George recently led CTM-E to become a founding member of the European Disaster Alliance (EDA) Charter at the European Parliament in Brussels. Working alongside premier global institutions, including WADEM and CEMEC, he continuously drives the development of innovative civil-military training frameworks, mass-casualty response protocols, and cross-border initiatives designed to enhance global health security. His academic credentials include conducting research on counter-terrorism at the Master’s level within the School of Law and Policing at the University of Lancashire, an academic credential that deeply informs his strategic approach to the complex legal, investigative, and policy dimensions of asymmetric threats.

George Tataru is currently serving as the Head of Research for ASPISMEDICAL, the only European journal dedicated to advancing research in counter-terrorism medicine and medical intelligence.
