Karin Hugelius

Dr. Karin Hugelius is an associate professor in disaster nursing, nurse (RN), nurse anesthesia (RNA) and ambulance nurse (AN) from Sweden. She has broad clinical experience from working in disaster- and prehospital emergency care. During the last twenty years, she has been deployed to several disasters, conflicts, or other crises around the world for several UN agencies, the European Union, and the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB).

Karin works as a senior lecturer at Örebro University in Sweden, teaching and conducting research within crises management with a focus on management, decision making and situational awareness, leadership and psychosocial support. Additionally, she works clinically as an ambulance nurse.
