Sven Normann

Sven Normann is a courtesy Clinical Associate Professor of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Research in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Florida. He is also a Clinical Pharmacist at Orlando Health – Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Florida. Sven also serves as the lead pharmacist on the Florida-6 Disaster Medical Assistance Team with the US National Disaster Medical System.

Dr. Normann served as the Director of the Florida Poison Information Center in Tampa, Florida. He also served as the Director of the Louisiana Poison Center and faculty member at the LSU School of Medicine-Shreveport. Dr. Normann was a three-term member of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Poison Control Centers and is a charter diplomate of the American Board of Applied (Clinical) Toxicology. His teaching activities include facilitating, teaching or coordinating courses in Clinical Toxicology, Global Health Pharmacy, and Disaster Planning and Response.

Dr. Normann received his BS in Pharmacy degree from Creighton University, completed a PGY1 hospital pharmacy residency at the Mayo Medical Center in Rochester, MN and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida. He completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Toxicology at the University of California, San Francisco and the University of California, San Diego.
