Shana Godfred-Cato

Dr. Shana Godfred-Cato, is a board-certified pediatrician practicing general pediatrics at the University of Utah, in Salt Lake City. She works with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), focusing on emerging infections in the maternal and infant populations. She has served on CDC’s Zika, e-cigarette or vaping product use-associated lung injury, COVID-19, and Monkeypox responses.

Dr. Godfred-Cato serves on the executive committee for the American Academy of Pediatrics Council on Children and Disasters and is involved the Pediatric Pandemic Network focusing on improving pediatric preparedness. She also serves in the Utah Air National Guard as a flight surgeon.
